OUR HISTORY
Seaside 3 Marina, originally founded as Surfside 3 Marina in 1968 by the Barbara family, has been a cornerstone of Long Island boating for decades. Over the years, the dealership became one of the nation’s top Carver dealers, added Sea Ray and Boston Whaler to its lineup, and even expanded with a Chelsea Piers location in NYC. After a period under MarineMax ownership, the Barbara family relaunched as SS3 Marina, now operating two Lindenhurst locations that continue their legacy of boat sales, service, and storage.
1968
Founding of Surfside 3 Marina
Surfside 3 Marina was established in Lindenhurst, New York, by the Barbara family. The marina began as a modest operation, offering essential boating services to the local community.
1970's
Became A Carver Dealer
Surfside was quickly awarded the largest Carver dealer for 5 years in a row.
1990’s
Became a Sea Ray Dealer
Along with Boston Whaler, Surfside was the leading dealership for these two brands and sold in NY & CT for over 15 years.
2000’s
Open Chelsea Piers Location
Later that decade, we sold the marina business to MarineMax, publicly traded company.
2010’s
Surfside Sold to MarineMax
SS3 reopens the delivery center as Seaside 3 Marina and offers sales, service and fiberglass repairs.
2020’s
Transition and Rebirth of Surfside 3 Marina
In the early 2020's, the Barbara family reopened their flagship marina, Surfside 3 Marina & Yacht Club. Both locations continue the family's legacy, offering premier boating services and amenities.
